I was raised by parents who came from modest beginnings, but who carried Europe within them.
They traveled often, returning home with stories, rituals, and scents… Small details that quietly shaped my world. From a very young age, I learned that fragrance wasn’t decorative; it was emotional, cultural, and deeply personal.
One of my earliest memories is running through our home after a bath, pyjamas still warm against my skin, as the sun began to set. I would wander into the garden and sway on the swing, letting the evening air dry my hair, while my mother gathered the freshly washed linens from the line, warm from the sun. The air filled with gentle, familiar notes… oils, soap, sun-dried fabrics and in that quiet moment, happiness felt effortless.
Long before I understood fragrance, those scents became my first language of comfort.
Years later, as an adult, I realized that certain fragrances could instantly take me back to that feeling: safe, grounded, reminded of who I was and where I came from. But when I turned to commercial plug-ins and mass-produced candles, the experience changed. The air felt heavy. My breathing suffered. Even my dog was affected. What was meant to soothe instead overwhelmed.
So I stopped, and I started listening.
As trends moved toward stronger, harsher, more synthetic scents, I chose a different path. I created a line rooted in balance, purity, and intention, fragrances designed to live with you, not overpower you.
I named this collection La Bohème, in homage to the iconic song by Charles Aznavour.
Like the song, this brand is about memory, simplicity, and a quiet nostalgia for a time when life was lived with less, but felt like more. La Bohème isn’t about luxury for display; it’s about beauty that lingers softly, like a melody you never forget.
These oils and diffusers are my way of preserving that feeling of bringing warmth, comfort, and European soul into everyday life.
Because fragrance, like music, should move you… not shout.
